Planning a Summer 2026 Wedding? Here’s What to Do This Month!

Just got engaged or planning your Summer 2026 wedding? Here’s your month-by-month guide on what to do now to stay ahead, stress less, and find your dream dress!

If you’re reading this, it probably means you’re newly engaged, have a date set for next summer, or are knee-deep in Pinterest boards. Either way: congrats, babe! Summer weddings are magical (think: golden hour, garden parties, sunset receptions) — and this month is the perfect time to start laying the foundation for your big day.

Here’s your friendly, no-stress, totally manageable guide to what you can do this Summer to set yourself up for wedding-planning success.

1. Finalize Your Wedding Date + Venue Summer books up fast (like, really fast) — especially Saturdays. If you haven’t locked in your venue yet, make it your top priority. Once you have your date and venue secured, everything else can fall into place around it.

2. Lock in Your Dream Vendors Early Photographers, planners, and florists book up a year (or more) in advance. If you have your eye on someone whose work you love, send that inquiry email now. You’ll thank yourself later.

3. Start Thinking About Your Dress Timeline Wedding dresses take time — and not just to find the one. You'll need time for ordering, production, shipping, and alterations.

Hot tip: July 2026 brides should start dress shopping between August and October 2025. That gives you plenty of time to order your gown, have it delivered, and make it uniquely yours with any fittings.

If you’re shopping this summer, you’ll get to preview some of the brand-new 2026 collections (hi, Evelyn Bridal!) just as they launch. Perfect timing? We think so.

4. Narrow Down Your Style + Color Palette Even if you don’t know exactly what you want yet, start collecting inspiration. Mood boards, color combos, and dress silhouettes you’re drawn to can help guide all your future decisions.

5. Soak It All In You only get to be a bride once, so take time to enjoy it. Snap a ring selfie, have a planning brunch with your besties, or celebrate with your partner. Planning can be a lot, but right now it should still feel fun.

Need help picking a dress or want to browse new designs? Our newest collection is dropping soon, and we can't wait to help you find the one. (The dress, not the partner. You've got that covered.)

Cheers to your best year ever!
