Allison + John’s Rustic Mansion Wedding in Pennsylvania!

What began as a best friendship bonded over the experiences of college life, ended as a sweet love story that took Allison and John from city to city to pursue their medical education before making the commitment to say “I do."

Adding another city to create cherished memories in, Allison and John celebrated their wedding in Jenkintown, PA on the beautiful property of the historical Alverthorpe Manor House. The setting was monochromatic in light shades of blue, with pops of pale pink to accentuate the floral arrangements. The mansion’s natural stone walls and surrounding forestry gave the wedding a true rustic feel.

Allison wore the Anastasia gown, paired with some sparkly blue heels that kept in theme with the day’s color scheme. Her dainty jewelry accessories and headpiece made sure all eyes were on the gown, and she looked absolutely stunning!

1. How did you and John meet?

“We met in college at Northeastern University (Boston, not Chicago, always confuses people), we lived in the same freshman dorm. We were best friends before we started dating.”

2. How did he propose?

“He proposed in a park overlooking the city of Cleveland. We had moved there for just a year for my pharmacy residency, and it was the last month before we moved back to the East Coast. Now we always have that memory from our year in Cleveland. I always told him I didn’t want to get engaged until I finished residency and he proposed the week after I graduated.”

3. What was the process of finding your dream dress like?

“Easy! I knew I wanted an A-line silhouette, flower appliqués, and only a little bit of sparkle. I also wanted to be comfortable.”

4. What's your favorite or most memorable thing about the wedding?

“Getting to spend every minute enjoying each other’s company and celebrating with our guests! We worked really hard to make sure everything was organized so that we wouldn’t be pulled away from any events at our wedding (and our photographer really honored this request, which we loved). Everyone had told us how quickly the day would go by, so we wanted to make sure that we spent every minute having an amazing time, and we succeeded!”

Congratulations, Allison and John! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!
