Jeff & Amy’s Dreamy Bonneville Salt Flats Wedding

We’re just gonna preface this by saying we have the sweetest brides. When we reached out to Amy about featuring her wedding on our blog, she was incredibly helpful and just an overall dream to talk to.

Amy and Jeff’s Bonneville Salt Flats wedding is proof that you don’t need to plan the most elaborate wedding to create a truly stunning day. They chose to make their wedding strictly about each other and eloped to one of the prettiest places in Utah. Their wedding took just a little over a month to plan but oh-my did they do it right! The result? Gorgeous images we’ve been obsessing over because they radiate what a wedding should be about: a celebration of love between two people and their devotion to one another. Amy wore our Serah gown which was just beautiful on her and fit perfectly with the dream-like background.

Keep scrolling to find out how this lovely couple met and fell in love, and how they planned their wedding together!

“Jeffrey and I met at a Community Health Center where we were both working at the time and soon after we started dating.”

How Jeff popped the question: “Jeffrey got off work on a Friday picked up the ring since it just arrived that morning at the jewelry store. He then drove 8.5 hours to my house. When he arrived he saw me on the porch sweeping from the driveway. He had turned on a portable speaker and put it in his satchel and turned the car off and got out. The music was still playing. I told him his car was on because I could still hear the music playing Lifer, by Florida Georgia Line. He shook his head no and told me that his car was off. I asked why the music is still on. He went on to tell me that he loved me and wanted us to be together forever and that he wanted to marry me and spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, and of course I said YES!”

“Planning our wedding was kept very simple and easy so we loved the process. We got engaged on May 18th 2018 and got married June 29, 2018!”

On what they loved about planning their wedding: “The people we met through the process. From finding our match for the perfect photographer to the clerk at the counter where we got our marriage license. Everyone that helped us was amazing. I could name everyone which is crazy. We honestly kept it THAT simple."

“Everyone shared the vibe and the love with us. It was so much fun! We both just sat down at Whole Foods Market Patio and surfed the web. We eliminated what we didn’t want right away. We knew we wanted to be married now. We chose a date, booked flights, coordinated our photographer, officiant, florist, makeup artist, hotel room. We did it our way. Just us two. Intimacy, the whole time we did this together. We kept it just about us. We were focused on each other’s happiness and love. It was just us two.”

“Finding the dress was fun! I felt a little crazy trying on dresses before I was even engaged! Jeffrey told me to get a dress so that when he proposed we would be ready to get married and not have to wait for it to be ready. I went to a local bridal boutique and I fell in love with the gown immediately once I had it on.  The owner was so kind and really supported me through the process. We both knew it was a yes when I tried it on. We chuckled about my story of not being engaged but I was pretty positive the engagement and wedding would all be happening within the next couple months. Jeffrey and I actually went back to tell her the day after we got engaged.”

On their favorite thing about their wedding: “We loved our spontaneity every step of the way.”

Congratulations Jeff and Amy!
