Sierra + Cole's Beautifully Soft & Airy Wedding!

So we are seriously over the moon this week because we're featuring one stunner of a bride! Our Evelyn bride, Sierra, married her old high school friend, who, by the way, we have to commend for finally getting the girl he secretly had a crush on years earlier!

Their wedding took place at the Four Seasons Las Vegas, a gorgeous venue our bride and her wedding planning tribe somehow managed to make even lovelier! Being lovers of the outdoors, the couple originally wanted an elegant wedding with a rustic feel, but their amazing venue allowed them to place their focus on the floral decorations that ultimately created a soft, airy feel. Plus, they still got their rustic element with an unbelievably beautiful wooden cross that became the backdrop to the wedding ceremony.

Sierra wore our sultry yet elegant gown, Nessa, and we think you'll all agree she looked phenomenal! The wedding was beautifully captured by J. Anne Photography.

How we met..

Cole and I met in High School. We were friends but never dated. He claims to have had a crush on my but I never would have believed it! We were very comfortable with each other and knew each other’s hearts, but I guess it just wasn’t the right time in life to date and we both feltthat! We both ended up back in Vegas after college and we reconnected through social media. Our first time seeing each other again was out at Lake Mead, I couldn’t believe how much he had grown up from my high school Cole!!

How Cole proposed..

Cole and I love the outdoors. Living in Las Vegas we have Red Rock Canyon about 20 minutes away. One Friday afternoon, Cole suggested we go for a hike. It looked like it was going to rain but I agreed. We were hiking up to this waterfall and I look down to see rose petals (I was oblivious and thought it was for someone else) until we walked past a sign that said “It was always you.” I turned around and he was on one knee. I instantly started crying. His best friend and sister were hiding snapping pictures and had champagne to celebrate. That entire weekend he planned surprise after surprise. We had a staycation at Red Rock hotel to celebrate and he had my best friends come into town and surprised me for dinner with our entire family. It truly was the best weekend.

What I loved about planning my wedding..

I loved working with our wedding planner Emily. She was a huge help to make the whole process as stress free as possible. I also loved finding my dress, and I loved creating the meaningful touches that were so special to Cole and I throughout our ceremony.

Finding my dream wedding gown..

I went into the experience not really sure how it was going to go. I had friends who spent month shopping around and/or bought multiple dresses because they couldn’t decide. I walked into Couture Bride in Las Vegas and tried on probably 5 dresses. I had my mind set on the dress I thought was the one. Then lastly I tried on my Evelyn Bridal dress and everything else went out the window. I knew that was the one. Everyone told me to go to a few more places just to be sure and I never did - that’s how set I was!

My favorite memory of the wedding..

Our ceremony. I had a near panic attack before walking down the aisle. My Dad said I was shaking so bad! But the second I got up to Cole, it was like there was no one else there. I feel like we both really took in the meaningfulness of the moment. Also, I was so crazy for our backdrop. Cole and his friend had made that wooden cross for us to stand in front of. I had always had a vision on ombre florals surrounding us and Layers of Lovely created the most perfect setting I about melted when I saw it all come together.

Congratulations, Sierra & Cole!
