How they met..
My husband and I actually met online! My Maid of Honor, Kelli, told me to get this app called "Coffee Meets Bagel". I reluctantly downloaded the app because I was very tired of online dating. Tim and I started messaging, and we had our fist date at a place in Las Vegas called 'Crush: Eat Drink Love'- and that is exactly what we did! It turned out that Tim had just moved to Vegas the month prior for a new job opportunity. After our first date, it was history from there. We were inseparable.
The proposal..
Tim works for Jackson Family Wines, so wine has been a big part of our relationship. Tim had told me we had won a trip to wine country through his company. This has been one of our favorite places so we were really excited! Tim had arranged for us to go up to a beautiful vineyard called Stonestreet. The winemaker drove us up the mountain to this beautiful spot that overlooks Alexander Valley. We were taking in the amazing view, when I heard footsteps and a "Surprise!" My family and Tim's family had emerged from the vineyards. Tim got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I of course said, "Yes!" We then all had an amazing picnic together in this beautiful spot.
Planning the wedding..
With the help of our planner, I Do Details, the process was seemingly easy and stress free. Tim and I enjoyed working on the planning details together with a glass of wine in hand. I really enjoyed my meeting with Catherine at Layers Of Lovely about my floral dreams. The cake tasting was a fun experience, too!
Finding the dress..
It was a really fun experience! The first day I went out, I went with my my mom, MIL, and a few of my bridesmaids. It was a great day, but no luck finding THE dress. My mom and I went two more days and still no luck. I liked some dresses, but nothing felt right. At this point, we had gone to 5 different bridal shops. I went back to Couture Bridal, which was actually the very first place I went to try on dresses, and as soon as I tried my dress on I knew it was the one! It was perfect.
The most memorable thing about the wedding..
Truly, the day was so perfect. I was never stressed (with the help of all of my amazing vendors and bridesmaids!) and things went so smoothly. Getting ready with all of my favorite girls by my side was so much fun- and we were actually ready early! I think the most memorable thing for me was walking down the aisle, with my Dad by my side, to my groom! We also had so much fun drinking wine and dancing the night away with all of our family and friends.
